Maritime Security Services
Sustainability's security consultants used for maritime operations qualify as CSO, SSO, PFSO, and PSO by having completed an ISPS code course. Maritime security services include:
- Security and vulnerability assessments for vessels and ports
- ISPS audits to compliance
- Updating or writing of Ship Security Plans (SSP) and Port Facility Security Plans (PFSP)
- Writing of Standard Operating Procedures to complement SSP / PFSP
- Conducting target hardening procedures to prevent illegal boarding, and promoting security control measures to ensure safety to the client vessel and crew members
- Security measures taken in the event of a pirate attack or illegal boarding

Crisis Emergency Management Training (CEMT)
To help clients understand how to manage a crisis and mitigate future ones through constructive and effective control measures, our security team can provide realistic CEMT. Our security advisors are highly qualified and have an extensive portfolio. (Available to clients on request)
Executive Protection
Our security consultants can perform executive protection duties in foreign countries and high risk areas ¨C in particular we utilize our personnel who are ex Australian Special Forces (SAS) members that have carried out these duties and are qualified to do so. Executive Protection services include:
- Prior planning to travel to or from destinations
- Reliable transportation and drivers with very good local knowledge
- Route selection and planning
- Hotel security and safety assessments, including audits
- Liaison with respected local security forces and intelligence agencies
- Emergency evacuation plans
Industrial Security
Our security consultants have an extremely good understanding of industrial security, loss prevention, and the implementation of security control measures for high risk facilities such as gold mines, copper mines, and nickel mines. Sustainability continues to provide security and project managers in these establishments.
Emergency Safety Officer (ESO)
- Medical Response - from first aid to trauma and the maintenance of personal health records
- Initial Response to any emergency - from fire to medical to the client's defamation scenarios
- Preparing and maintaining emergency vehicles for possible immediate deployment, including regularly checking, testing, and maintaining the emergency equipment within those vehicles
- Maintenance of Vessel Entry kits (including gas detection units) and Working at Heights (WAHs) equipment ready for deployment - also the activation of WAHs permits and ensuring the setup and implementation of equipment for the proposed job is sound
- Weighbridge function - solving any issues that may occur, ensuring continuity of the overall weighbridge function
- Security of the site - ensuring that the lab/store and administration buildings are locked and secured
- During "shut down" periods of the plant (for major maintenance work) ensuring that contractors are employing safe practices and monitoring overall safety standards. Also presenting a safety brief at each pre-start meeting to all contractors and maintaining "fitness for work" levels and systematic drug analysis sample collection in line with company policy.
- Safety and Security Induction training for all new personnel wishing to enter the site, and issuing access control security passes
- Running evacuation training and exercises for staff to ensure training compliance and promoting best practices
- Writing of standard operating procedures for the above mentioned services in a management system format, to compliance with industry standards and company policies.
