What it's about (Objective/Purpose)
Establishing a Contractor Pre-qualification and Evaluation Program (CPEP):
- ensure contractor compliance conformance to client's corporate safety management systems and hazard management standards
- incorporate assessments (audits) of the contractors and provide an improvement plan mechanism to sustain and improve the contractors' OHS systems, hazard controls and operational performance
What we can do (Scope/Methodology)
Develop and implement a CPEP, and undertake contractor audits and hazard assessments, and CPEP system and audit training, including:
- CPEP gap analysis to establish current status of CPEP procedures and resources
- Evaluation of site compliance to CPEP requirements
- Interviews with staff and management to establish levels of commitment, awareness and knowledge of CPEP
- Completion of an agreed number of sample assessments of contractors' OHS systems and performance, and determine CPEP roll out effects on client
- Verify and clearly define CPEP operational and system deficiencies, and implement appropriate changes
- Develop and implement a site-based CPEP systems implementation program (short targeted training courses supported with on site mentoring program)
- Provide system and auditing support services for a risk-based auditing program on as required basis.
