Alan has extensive operations, risk management, safety and environmental management experience that spans the mining, heavy industry, utilities, finance, and international development sectors.

Operating internationally for multinational and large national companies, Alan has coordinated substantive change management projects that have targeted the development and implementation of organizational management systems and performance standards.

Alan has supported and managed:

• major hazard standards development, implementation and training and competency assessment programs for a range of international mining and industrial companies
• numerous permit to work projects aligning site processes to corporate HSE management systems and standards
• numerous corporate and operational management review and operational improvement teams
• multifaceted technical service teams tasked with development and implementation programs
• feasibility, engineering and construction projects
• development and implementation of competency development and assessment systems aligned to the ATQF framework.

In addition, he has coordinated due diligence, organisation and project reviews, legal investigation and prosecution defence, and project approvals for large mining and infrastructure projects including World Bank and International Labour Organisation Standards.

Alan is a Principal Advisor in permitting systems, operational management systems, risk management, due diligence, compliance, and HSE services.
