Through extensive experience in the Australian military and within the areas of commercial diving, high-risk policing, and personal protection in Malaysia, Hawaii, England, Wales, Amman, Kuwait and Iraq, Wes has developed an exceptional knowledge of emergency response and security.

One of Wes’s major projects was writing and implementing security procedures for expatriates in Baghdad, Iraq. This included standard operating procedures/tactics, emergency response plans and training packages, of which many are still used country-wide.

Wes’s core expertise is in emergency response and security, including risk assessment, asset protection, overseas emergency evacuation, venue security, close personal protection, tactical policing and hostage rescue, maritime and port security, and investigation and pre-deployment briefings. He has excellent leadership skills and strong project management and interpersonal skills.

Wes undertakes audits, reporting, and implementation of emergency response and security systems. He is accustomed to working in arduous environments where his problem solving skills, leadership, and lateral thinking have been invaluable to him and those around him.

Professional Background

Wes originally managed a small business before joining the Australian Army for six years where he specialised in reconnaissance and surveillance. Upon leaving the military, he worked as a commercial diver in Broome, Western Australia. In 1996 he started work with the Western Police Service and quickly moved into high risk policing (Tactical Response Group). In September 2003 he was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq to undertake close personal protection duties for USAID.
