NEBOSH International General Certificate

The NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is suitable for managers, supervisors, worker representatives and others who require a knowledge and understanding of health and safety principles and practices. The Certificate provides a sound basis for evaluating risks and hazards in any country, in any business. The NEBOSH IGC is also suitable for those embarking on a career in health and safety, providing a valuable foundation for further professional study.

The study program covers a range of workplace hazards and methods of control, and focuses on international standards for safety and health management, including International Labour Organisation codes of practice as well as local laws where relevant and appropriate.

The NEBOSH IGC benefits organisations operating outside the UK, and multinational companies working to international standards who are seeking to implement good health and safety management across all areas of their operation.

Distance learning program

Sustainability is now offering the NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) via distance learning.

The program comprises a CD containing powerpoints and notes for the 16 elements of the course and is accompanied by a comprehensive study guide, especially written for the qualification. The distance program provides a self-paced learning option for those people who cannot fit the course into their busy diary schedules, or who are unable to attend classes due to working in remote locations.

Candidates are required to attend a three day preparation and formal exam process to coincide with NEBOSH set exam dates.
