The ESIA involves baseline studies of both environmental and social factors, followed by impact assessment studies and management plans to meet national and international lender requirements. |

Sustainability is providing management of core biodiversity monitoring and offset programs for the largest mining project in Mongolia. | |
Scope of Work: |

Sustainability has been supporting Oyu Tolgoi LLC for over 11 years to provide monitoring and offset projects to verify Oyu Tolgoi’s biodiversity management initiatives and provide data that supports the project’s aim of achieving net gain on high biodiversity value species and habitats. In partnership with Wildlife Conservation Society of Mongolia and working with other NGOs and academics, the program continues to deliver important monitoring results for unique species such as Khulan (Asiatic wild ass) and black tailed (goitered) gazelle. | |

Sustainability provides independent assessments of the TANAP Project’s compliance with local and international legal requirements, IFI standards, and TANAP’s commitments outlined in the ESIA package and management system documents. This includes verifying the implementation of environmental and social commitments, mitigation measures, and material changes, as well as recommending actions to address non-compliances or areas for improvement. |

Operational risk reviews were conducted at three integrated cement manufacturing facilities and across multiple concrete plants across Portugal. This process involved creating actionable critical risk reduction plans that addressed both immediate response actions and long-term strategies. Additionally, safety leadership workshops were held for executive teams from eight different countries, emphasising the importance of visible and engaged leadership practices. Professional development training was also provided to health and safety practitioners to enhance their expertise and effectiveness in managing critical risks in the context of the building materials industry. | |
