In August our Sustainability Pte. Ltd Director Heath Thorpe, had the pleasure of meeting up with our Sustainability Safety Leadership Coaching Team in Sorowako, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia.
Our Indonesian team, led by Andy Hall (Sustainability Asia Operations Manager), have coached over 300 leaders and completed over 1600 coaching sessions in just 10 months.The coaching journey started with the Executive Management Team, engaging their support and aligning our approach with their critical risk exposures and key leadership behaviors to drive positive change.
We have since rolled out the program to their managers and frontline leaders in the field (Supervisors/Engineers).
The differentiator of the work we do, compared to traditional leadership improvement programs, is that all coaching is done directly in the field with a laser sharp focus on the management & control of critical safety risks (Fatality or Serious Incident potentials).
By coaching leaders in the active working environment, we can have immediate impact on the decision-making processes leaders take to control critical hazards in the work place as well as behavioral interventions.
Above all we truly believe that with focused in field coaching, we will eliminate serious harm!
The Director’s visit was not all just business! As fortune had it, the timing coincided with our Clients 56th Anniversary celebrating being the top Nikel producer in Indonesia.
Our Team ended the week on a high completing a 5km fun run with a 3000 strong crowd of enthusiastic employees and contractors.
