| 8. The Opportunity |
We are seeking a qualified Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Coach based in Zambia to support our mining clients in strengthening safety leadership and operational excellence. The ideal candidate brings extensive mining or heavy-industry experience, practical field insight, and a strong “people-first” coaching mindset. |
| 9. Key Responsibilities |
- Provide on-site coaching and mentoring to frontline and supervisory personnel, helping to drive safe behaviours and leadership.
- Support implementation of HSE management systems and critical risk programs within mining operations.
- Facilitate leadership conversations, toolbox sessions, learning reviews and field engagement sessions.
- Monitor field performance and guide improvement in hazard identification, reporting, verification and follow-through practices.
- Assist clients in aligning with international standards and industry best-practice, including frameworks such as ISO 45001.

| 10. Requirements |
- 10–20 years’ experience in the mining or heavy industry sector, with substantial HSE leadership, coaching or mentoring experience.
- Demonstrated background in Health, Safety & Environment with a practical, field-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and cross-cultural engagement skills; able to work effectively with diverse workforces.
- Willingness to work on remote or rotational rosters as required by client sites.
- Must be a Zambian national.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to remote mining operations.
